Script Refill
Convenient Repeat Prescriptions
Running out of your regular medication? Our script refill service provides a short telehealth review for repeat prescriptions of stable, ongoing medications.
If you have your medication label or previous prescription details, upload them at booking to help us review your request safely and quickly.
Don't have your script details?
In some cases, our doctor may be able to verify your recent medication history using My Health Record (where available), if:
- you have not set a Record Access Code / restrictions, and
- the relevant dispensing information has been uploaded by your pharmacy.
(Access depends on what’s available in your record and your privacy settings.)
What's Included
- Review of your request and medication history provided
- Eligibility assessment for a repeat prescription
- Repeat prescription issued if clinically appropriate
- Clear next steps if a repeat is not suitable
Eligibility Requirements
This service is intended for repeat prescriptions when:
- The medication is stable and ongoing (no recent changes)
- You have no new symptoms or concerns requiring a longer consultation
- You can provide one of the following:
– a clear photo of your current medication label, OR
– previous prescription/eScript details, OR
– (where available) your recent dispense history can be confirmed via My Health Record
- Your most recent prescription/dispense information is generally within the last 6 months, and may be considered up to 12 months depending on available information and clinical safety.
Not Eligible for Script Refill (Examples)
This service is NOT suitable for:
- Schedule 8 (controlled) medicines including opioid pain medicines (e.g., morphine, oxycodone/Endone, fentanyl)
- Starting a new medication or requesting dose changes for complex conditions
- Early repeats, “lost/stolen” medication requests, or quantities suggesting stockpiling
- New or worsening symptoms that require a proper assessment
- Situations where we do not have enough information to prescribe safely
What If You're Not Eligible?
If our doctor determines a repeat prescription isn’t appropriate or safe, we’ll recommend a Standard Telehealth Consultation instead.
If you proceed with a standard consultation, the $39 script refill fee can be credited toward the $89 consultation fee (you’ll only pay the difference). If the longer consultation is booked for another day, the credit can be applied to that booking.

How to Request a Refill
When you book your script refill appointment, you’ll be asked to upload:
- A clear photo of your current medication label, OR
- A copy/screenshot of your previous prescription/eScript token, OR
- A photo of your medication box showing the medication name and dosage
Turnaround Time
Most suitable repeats are issued after the appointment and typically within 24 hours. Timeframes may be longer if information is missing or further assessment is required.
Clinical Discretion
All requests are assessed at the doctor’s clinical discretion. A prescription is not guaranteed. If we determine a longer consultation is required to ensure your safety and wellbeing, we’ll recommend that instead.
